CHA coordinates and hosts Fatiha recitations at the Hussainia for community members wishing to honour and remember their loved ones.
Fatiha refers to the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha (the opening chapter of the Quran) as an act of remembrance and prayer for the souls of the deceased. It is a deeply rooted tradition in the Muslim community — a way to offer spiritual blessings and prayers on behalf of those who have passed.
The Canadian Hussaini Association hosts Fatiha programs at our Hussainia in Richmond, BC for the community. Whether for the first anniversary of a passing, a memorial, or any occasion of remembrance, we help coordinate a meaningful gathering.
To arrange a Fatiha at CHA, please contact us in advance to confirm date availability. Fatiha services are offered to CHA members as part of the community's commitment to supporting families in remembrance.
